What is Stroke

A stroke occurs when a blood vessel bringing blood and oxygen to the brain is interrupted and brain cells do not get enough blood that they need. There are two major types of strokes.

Factors Influencing Stroke Rehabilitation
Impact of Time

More significant recovery most often occurs during the first 6 months after stroke. Intensive rehabilitation at the acute and subacute stage can promote better recovery.
